Food for Life is a research-based pilot study that aims to demonstrate the connection
between experiential nutrition education and improved eating habits.

In April 2007, FFL initiated Food Trials
in order to measure food acceptance based on familiarity, and to gauge student response
to recipes prepared in FFL class. During the Food Trials, 6 recipes from the Food
is Elementary curriculum were sampled once a week in 2 lunch periods. The Food Trials
examined how students respond to choice by offering a sample food, and counting
how many students voted in favor of the dish.
